The Roanoke Valley Fund for Deaf Children Corporation (RVFDCC) recognizes that the lack of financial opportunities for higher education affects the future of Virginia’s high school students. We are pleased to extend the Roanoke Valley Fund for Deaf Children Scholarship opportunity to two graduating seniors in the Roanoke Valley, who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, to assist in their goals of continuing their education. Please share the attached scholarship application and information with your eligible students. The RVFDCC scholarship committee will select two candidates to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

 

All candidates are required to submit a completed RVFDCC application to include an essay question response (written request for assistance), provide a copy of an acceptance letter from the school/institution they plan to attend, and we highly recommend participation with the Department of Aging and Rehabilitation Services. Scholarship applications must be postmarked by March 1.
